SCORPION II Plot Description

After a terrorist bombing in the former Soviet Union kills two Americans, the CIA brings independent contractor Avery back into the fold.

He jumps at the chance to return to the field, because among the casualties is a friend and a former teammate. His search for answers will put him in pursuit of an old enemy and pit him against a dangerous new opponent, an elusive and mysterious spetsnaz-trained operator who is every bit as determined and lethal as Avery.

From the frontlines of the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, to the remote mountains of the Caucasus, and to a high altitude parachute jump from 35,000 feet, Avery will work alongside CIA paramilitary operators, mercenaries, and Special Forces soldiers to wage a campaign of shadow warfare against a hostile power eager to destabilize a strategically important Western ally.

  1. Ross. - stay focused man! Just kidding but if you need some motivation, some of us are checking every day to see if Scorpion II is out yet. My father is coming to see his grandsons (my boys) and asked me to recommend a book or two for him to read on vacation, while he visits. Yes, I told him to pick up Scorpion and Viper and also told him his timing is great as Scorpion II would be on its way soon. Keep up the good work! Your books are a joy to read. I really do not mean roughly, only to instill confidence in you and to,in all sincerity, remind you that your abilities as an author are on par, if not better than, Flynn, Thor, etc. As an FYI, I am not some whack job who is an author stalker, I'm a father of two little boys, an attorney, an ex division one baseball player who has read all of Clancy's, Thor's, Greaney's, Fury's works and truly believe that your first two works were better than the all but the very first efforts by those individuals. I say that to say, I don't know how many copies you sold of each, but even if it was not many, keep at it because you have the talent to hang with those guys and at least in my humble opinion, to be better than them. Good luck finalizing Scorpion II. I for one am greatly looking forward to it. Also as an FYI, you are the only author I have ever emailed, messages, commented on, etc. but I respected and enjoyed your work so much, I thought I'd take a minute to tell you that you have fans out here who truly enjoy what you write. Good luck.

  2. Hi, Benjamin. Thanks for your message. I'm glad you've enjoyed the books so much, and thanks for telling others about the books. Your enthusiasm is definitely motivating me to keep at it.

Honestly, I took a break this month to read the new (and last) Dalton Fury book, and I also wrote the first two chapters of Book 4. But now back to finishing up the edits on SCORPION II. The size of this book made the process longer than I'd planned for, but I promise it'll be out very very soon. I hope it lives up to your expectations.

Thanks again for your support. Best regards to you and your family.

  3. Also, if you enjoy my stories, I HIGHLY recommend Sean McFate and Peter Kirsanow. They're both new, very entertaining authors who can use some support too.

  7. McAfee's book was good! Very good. I actually turned around and purchased the second one right away and think the second is even better. However, they both cant touch Scorpion and I'm taking a time out from the second book because YOU DID IT!!! And I found out yesterday! So i have to take a break to read Scorpion II and then Ill finish McFate's second book.

Question for you? I know how important reviews are for you guys and I will be sure to write one for Scorpion II but my question is this "I wrote a review for McFate's book on Audible, do you know if those reviews port over to the written version on Amazon or should I cut and paste from Audible.com and place review on Amazon?"

Happy to help in any way possible. Off to begin Scorpion II!!!

  8. Great. Glad you liked it. Sean McFate/Tom Locke is probably my favorite author/series right now. I'm hoping they keep going for a while.

I know Audible is owned by Amazon, but I'm not sure if the reviews transfer over. I'm inclined to think they do not.

    Hope you enjoy Scorpion II.
